YogaToes FAQs

What is the Difference Between Original YogaToes® and YogaToes GEMS®?

Design Differences

Original YogaToes® are designed with a Closed Top Frame providing a more robust stretch.

YogaToes GEMS® are designed with an Open Top Frame, making GEMS more customizable for first-time users. For example: If you feel too much of a stretch when using GEMS, you can adjust the placement of the separator posts; simply move them forward and back as desired.

Once toes are more conditioned, you may want to "graduate" to Original YogaToes for a deeper stretch.

Where are YogaToes® made?
YogaToes® are American. Made by dedicated, small town folks in Michigan. Our ISO 9001 certification assures YogaToes® are built to the highest standards.

Do YogaToes® help with specific foot problems?
Yes. Our patented toe separators help treat and prevent a long list of foot conditions and toe deformities:

  • Hammer Toes
  • Claw Toes
  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
  • Bunions
  • Bunionettes
  • Crossed or Overlapping Toes
  • Mallet Toes
  • Flat Feet

Toe muscles are weak—if they atrophy, the “pulley” system breaks down. That’s when things like bunions, hammer toes and claw toes start forming. These conditions can de-stabilize you, leading to compounding problems throughout your lower extremities.

Shoes rob feet of essential exercise (and actively misshape your toes). By wearing YogaToes®, feet get to feel their barefoot existence again. Restoring the exercise, conditioning, and integral mindset lost to the day-to-day grind.

YogaToes® bring a whole new concept to the world: preventative foot health. Foot and toe problems can't be looked at separately. That is why we invented YogaToes®, to exercise and strengthen the *entire* foot.

Can I wear YogaToes® in shoes?
No, YogaToes® should be worn barefoot. We don't recommend walking in YogaToes®, for safety reasons.

When should I wear the YogaToes®?
In bed is a favorite, but you can really wear them anywhere. At the pool (they float!), at work under your desk, or lounging around the homestead. YogaToes® can be cooled in a freezer, too. Fun tip: Soak your feet in the bath, then pop on some cooled-down YogaToes® (you’ll need two pairs for this!). Alternating between hot and cold amplify healing.

How long should I use YogaToes®?
Start slow with YogaToes® (as with any new exercise regimen). 10-20 minutes per day at first. And, if all is well, work your way up to an hour. Generally, the more you wear them, the better. But, always ALWAYS listen to your body.

I feel discomfort when I wear YogaToes®. Is this normal?
If you feel discomfort, take the YogaToes off and try again tomorrow. Your feet have spent years cramped inside of shoes so be patient. Treat feet with care and allow time to adjust to their new routine.
